The wedding, one month ago, is my the first of my life (duh) and will be my last. </div>

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: center;">
The preparation was tedious. </div>

The cards was simple but it was her that made it happen.The programme fans kept everyone cool(er). I had a hand at those ribbons.....</div>

It took us hours to put the delicious cookies into the door gift wraps. Again, I had a hand at those cute little ribbons :) Pictures to come soon</div>
<div dir="ltr">
<br /></div>
<div dir="ltr">
There were little little decorations. It was our hardwork and we were glitteringly happy to see them parading themselves as the wedding took flight. </div>

<div dir="ltr">
The food was the highlight of the show too. We didn't get a chance to plow down on food that evening. We are now hoping someone else would celebrate something at Passion Road. We are dying to try out the (in)famous popia banana.....(whatever its name is)</div>
<div dir="ltr">

It was the happiest day of my life and I would not let it pass without me showing off my singing skill to introduce my lovely bride to everyone. Singing I did and Lucky, I was, am and will be. </div>

This year, my fair lady and I managed to get ourselves over to an extraordinary island off the west coast of Thailand. Phuket is an eye opening island filled with little things that will entertained just about everyone. You have a desire, Phuket might be able to satisfy it, providing you are average on your demand. We, had a great time. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><b><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red; font-size: x-large;">Patong</span></b><br />
<b><u><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red; font-size: x-large;"><br />
</span></u></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;">If you have ever planned to go to Phuket, you might have heard of the name Patong (Beach). This area is the most happening area on Phuket Island and probably where you should stay if you want easy access to just about everything. During our stay in Patong, it was never a problem to find food within walking distance, day, night, or even the wee hours of the morning. Patong may seems a bit on the quiet side during the day time but it comes deafeningly alive at night especially on the Bangla Road, where you can find all the pubs and clubs. Ladies (or maybe boys, I don't know) will be dancing at the entrance to enticed <s>perverts</s> people in. Throngs of people flood the street at night. <i>Patong will not disappoint if beer, noise, ladies (a term I will use loosely considering many girls have bulges at the wrong place) food or convenience is what you are looking for but if relaxation is what you want for your holiday,other stretches of beach should be your choice. </i></div><br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">Our first real activity beside exploring Patong was Fantasea. Fantasea is technically a cultural show that involves choreographed danced, acting, pyrotechnic effects and acrobatic stunts, all combined to tell the myths, legends and history of Thailand. An international buffet precedes the cultural show but you can opt out of the buffet and we strongly suggest so. The buffet is catered to international tourist and thus losing all the flair and spice that Thai food is so famous for. Fantasea claimed to have internationally renowned chefs but the quality of the food might suggest internationally rejected chefs. The buffet is a disappointment but the show is not. Our only complain was the show did not put any effort to narrate the story but the backdrop, the stunts, the choreograph dance and the elephants unintended toilet stunts (elephants practice a philosophy of anywhere, anytime, just do it) well make up for its shortcoming. The show is expensive (RM190++ per pax including the buffet) but its a marvelous and eye-opening way to experience the legends and the culture of Thailand. <i>Recommended but skip the buffet. I forgot the pricing for the show only ticket.</i></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />

</div><div style="text-align: center;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red; font-size: x-large;"><b>7 in 1 Safari Tour</b></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="color: red; font-size: large;"><u><b><br />
</b></u></span></div>There are lots of choices in term of Safari Tour. We took the 7 in 1 Safari for it provided us with substantial activities that we want to try throughout the day. The tour starts off with a buffalo cart ride. It was a short ride and something new for us.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0bovOaOMZZYnWB6eMgq02JVjHSzq6HSHOlSBHnGoJHhU4roLbkuk0tAnw7CUKY6esc0kyhfTP9VV4zQiUigBuxxsz2TNzDGBfV8DQ-oyzWwRir08v445vfPJbzTBZFoHosfB-/s1600/IMG_0319.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0bovOaOMZZYnWB6eMgq02JVjHSzq6HSHOlSBHnGoJHhU4roLbkuk0tAnw7CUKY6esc0kyhfTP9VV4zQiUigBuxxsz2TNzDGBfV8DQ-oyzWwRir08v445vfPJbzTBZFoHosfB-/s320/IMG_0319.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"> <i>Cow-abunga</i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Next on the list was a mini kick boxing show. Mini, does not means hobbit kick boxing but because it is just a show, like WWE, the kick boxers are just acting. It wasn't much fun if you have seen Ong Bak. The only was to get some fun out of this is to volunteer to jump onto the stage and practice some Thai kick boxing. I, just took pictures with the actors. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiC1HbE5KBf95dWjhX2iJbYc8kR771HdEhAknok7y-wXBk6YqjLt7fUy35vMS7tHbH9E1n72WnpMw9XHzQvO3T2FsfWZQSfyfHwfQbBzHIv45HElVAEA3l9hEMy1TmgjvyBd_O/s1600/JPEG+Image+%252866654%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjiC1HbE5KBf95dWjhX2iJbYc8kR771HdEhAknok7y-wXBk6YqjLt7fUy35vMS7tHbH9E1n72WnpMw9XHzQvO3T2FsfWZQSfyfHwfQbBzHIv45HElVAEA3l9hEMy1TmgjvyBd_O/s320/JPEG+Image+%252866654%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>Ongbak (2nd from right)</i></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Canoeing follow suits. We took a kinda long jeep ride to a nearby river to practice canoeing. We were brought away from the pier on a long tail boat before throwing us onto a canoe and asking us to paddle back to the tiny pier. The river was calm with no visible hungry crocodile. Canoe enthusiasts might be disappointed at the short duration on the canoe and the calmness but it was relaxing for us, who somehow can't paddle straight, hence, we zigzagged our way back to the pier........such picky oars.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTpQb92nMe9CSVpGilU7b5GJ1BvVSnvtzDywt2kFVXtcsh0Vk06hKEVaWk-S_LvdgHx92cvEkasjrAyRPyVtcj_EybQhQFdb8325scgElARlYMYLojhGzSzgJuup3ZLxstncsA/s1600/IMG_0350.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTpQb92nMe9CSVpGilU7b5GJ1BvVSnvtzDywt2kFVXtcsh0Vk06hKEVaWk-S_LvdgHx92cvEkasjrAyRPyVtcj_EybQhQFdb8325scgElARlYMYLojhGzSzgJuup3ZLxstncsA/s320/IMG_0350.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>The calm river. Sadly, no picture of the stubborn oars.</i></div><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">We were brought to a souvenir shop after canoeing. All the tours we had somehow managed to bring us to a souvenir shop and it is often not printed on the pamphlets. Damn their business strategy. Therefore, we acted thick face, borrowed their toilets and only brought a couple of fridge magnets although it is actually a pearl shop. </div><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">When we are back to the Safari, we were taught how to cook one of the many Thai delicacies, the Som Tam. For the Thai language dumb, Som Tam is papaya Salad with three types of taste, sweet, sour and bloody murdering spicy. When will I get to eat my fair lady's self-cooked Som Tam? Kurang pedas ye!!</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif078sUax35n-zC_q7tSIdeW7JpauP_UJflT2ugyi2sT4144HoQgyiiCam7rclIeK87VbvZG2YMyoEW3I2ID61mJCdLKuw4QQwABbyHiYw757UtLNXlMclH7r8KofWsbmhyUjS/s1600/IMG_0369.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEif078sUax35n-zC_q7tSIdeW7JpauP_UJflT2ugyi2sT4144HoQgyiiCam7rclIeK87VbvZG2YMyoEW3I2ID61mJCdLKuw4QQwABbyHiYw757UtLNXlMclH7r8KofWsbmhyUjS/s320/IMG_0369.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><i>Main ingredients for Som Tam; extra ingredient - love. <div style="text-align: justify;">A short little documentary on how rubber is tapped and processed so we can all have safe *** is provided after how to cook Som Tam. You get to see a real rubber flowing rubber tree and the rubber roller and how the rubber is sun-tanned to dryness. It's sort of educational. </div><br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;">The best part of the Safari Tour, one that all of you should try, is next, Elephant ride!! Since the elephant didn't die from my weight, I guess elephants are able to carry hundreds of kilograms on its back. It was a fun ride albeit not as adrenaline pumping as horse riding or roller-coaster but it was kinda fun rolling back and forth, left and right, up and down while the elephants make its way on and across the river, up and down the hill and they even have time to stop for toilet time, and as usual, anywhere, anytime, just do it. When you see how an elephant pee, you will be ashamed of how you pee!!</div><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">As you can see, there are more than 7 activities. Why they named it 7 in 1 Safari Tour is anyone guesses. All the activities are mediocre but a new experience except for the elephant ride, which was satisfying and worth the money paid, considering you do spend a long time on the ride. <i>Safari Tour is definitely recommended for those who have not tried the activities above.</i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i>. </i></div></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i>To be continued - Simon Cabaret, Phang Nga Bay Tour, Promthep Cape, Wat Chalong, Big Buddha Tour, Thai Massage, Hotels and FOOOOOOD</i></div><div style="text-align: left;"><i><br />

Anyway, 2009 has its moment to rejoice and we shall bask in such moments by reminiscing the best that I have watched and experienced in 2009<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><span style="color: red;">Most Enjoyable Movie</span><br />
</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Avatar</b> has perhaps top the headline at the end of 2009 with jaw dropping and eye busting computer generated graphic. It is beautiful and I really wanted to watch it in 3D if times and locality permits. However, <b>Avatar</b> scores a so so in the storyline department and I did, almost mind you, fell asleep, partly due to too much gaming and too little sleep. <b>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</b>, on the other hand, is a huge disappointment, <b>Terminator 4</b>, is just about massive robots holocaust and Harry Potter is just a lame version of its wordy counterpart.<b> Sherlock Holmes </b>too missed out on this award but by just a fraction. I really did like <b>Sherlock Holmes</b> for its fresh and funny rendition for one of the most famous detective but, aside for the pain-inflicting deductive process, the whole investigation process was not really <i>mind blasting</i> (Russell Peter, 2009).Therefore, 2009's most enjoyable movie goes to<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: red; text-align: center;"><b>Star Trek</b><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2_oRywqncymTsydXBQI4V_xpNmDyHK2pLkLFXlX_zj9gjFxwSSq1Ta_4WUUEr2ydcCW7BJLHcCBQBGqWUwaoUhvsxBf3UW3ewaxeZeAaFqGyjsz4H9Jk1uP-6goJlaPhExywa/s1600-h/star_trek_xi_ver18_xlg.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2_oRywqncymTsydXBQI4V_xpNmDyHK2pLkLFXlX_zj9gjFxwSSq1Ta_4WUUEr2ydcCW7BJLHcCBQBGqWUwaoUhvsxBf3UW3ewaxeZeAaFqGyjsz4H9Jk1uP-6goJlaPhExywa/s400/star_trek_xi_ver18_xlg.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Referring to my previous post 'I am not a Geek'. I am still not a geek......or maybe I am but I did walk into the cinema not knowing a single thing about <b>Star Trek</b> except for its weird looking spaceship, which I later found out that it is named 'The Enterprise'. Yet, I walked out of the cinema feeling satisfied, happy and wanting more (not orgasm but something like that). I enjoyed each and every seconds of the movie. It wasn't the whole geeky thing that got me hook onto the movie but rather the storyline, the humour and the chemistry of the cast. It is a movie that has everything; strong emotional opening, funny moments (mostly by Simon Pegg), a sarcastic captain, a charmingly cool alien-human hybird played by Sylar (nobody cares about his real name) and geeky stuffs. What's more to ask?<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><span style="color: red;">2009 Funniest Everything</span><br />
</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">What is life without laughter. Comedy/sitcom is my favourite genre be it for movies, series or games or work. Although work did not make its way into this category this year (will it ever?), there are quite some other medias that made me laugh in 2009 enabling me to forget about work. KG's small eyes being one, Guna's big nose another. <b>Zombieland</b> has been in the headlines (or fb statuses) being stated as one of the funniest zombie movie. Funny? Yes, Funniest? No but Bill Murray's cameo is worth a watch. <b>Fired Up</b> is also another movie that turns out unexpectedly funny. <b>Russell Peter's</b> mind blasting had me laughing the whole day. Series such as <b>My name is Earl</b> and <b>Aliens in America</b> too has light up my foresty 2009 but there is one that stands out from the rest. I laugh so hard, my stomach became smaller.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: red; text-align: center;"><b>The Big Bang Theory</b><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghI6EHMIeBBjii8Gm77-CY4k4RVHMPcofqKioZyVJsFZnNjehMlnqL8-S77jTpCEtzgD2ygro_rf1z9HDdnJi2eA5g73Th6TVXtxK_rPCwajOkewUfcS1uV3dj7RpYIimlqd5u/s1600-h/season-2-promo-pic-the-big-bang-theory-2847657-2500-1667.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghI6EHMIeBBjii8Gm77-CY4k4RVHMPcofqKioZyVJsFZnNjehMlnqL8-S77jTpCEtzgD2ygro_rf1z9HDdnJi2eA5g73Th6TVXtxK_rPCwajOkewUfcS1uV3dj7RpYIimlqd5u/s400/season-2-promo-pic-the-big-bang-theory-2847657-2500-1667.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Beside Guna's similarities with one of the nerdy Indian characters, Raj, in the sitcom, the nerd bonding is inexplicably funny. <b>The Big Bang Theory</b> set on the premise of the awkward social encounter of 4 nerdy and geeky guys who have variable social disability with a hot blonde who aspires to be an actress but works in a cheescake factory or what Leonard called a Carbohydrate Delivery Factory. Sheldon, being one of the most dysfunctional social creature, dumb to any sort of social convention, is the funniest characters on the show. How could anyone not love Sheldon albeit his condescending behaviour. If you are a human, do not miss this show. We live for a purpose and that is to laugh. Furthermore, this movie has a lot of worthy quotes that you will never be able to memorise, at all. <br />
</div><div style="color: red; text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: red; text-align: left;"><b>2009 Best English Series</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">2009 has churned out some new series and saw the return of others. <b>Heroes Season 4</b> has been a disappointment overall. It just isn't the same Heroes that it used to be. The storyline just isn't as interesting anymore. A lot of people has said that they can't stop watching <b>True Blood</b> but I stopped. If there is any reason I would continue watching, it would just be for Anna Paquin's sex scene. I haven't watched a number of English series but the best I have seen in 2009 would be<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: red; text-align: center;"><b>Flash Forward</b><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXmtockjdZDwngicoy3XuIUBrt0KROb_wmrvD7sT3VQ3XSmL7ci7GWWAXfWEzgSoahGT_E_fwC7jLerS1hwmAz6i52m-CVm1Gp0QrIy5S8t781AT3Sypy9RkTyclLw7fUqMmIJ/s1600-h/Flash-Forward.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiXmtockjdZDwngicoy3XuIUBrt0KROb_wmrvD7sT3VQ3XSmL7ci7GWWAXfWEzgSoahGT_E_fwC7jLerS1hwmAz6i52m-CVm1Gp0QrIy5S8t781AT3Sypy9RkTyclLw7fUqMmIJ/s400/Flash-Forward.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Reason number uno to watch this movie would be for Harold from Harold and Kumar although he ain't funny here. <b>Flash Forward</b> has an interesting plot that I just wanna peel off episode after episode. <b>Flash Forward </b>tells the story of a mysterious event that has everyone in the world to black out for exactly 137 seconds. During the blackout, most people can see a vision of their future six months away. Those that did not see anything may be dead some time between then and 6 months later. An investigation team is then formed to investigate the events using clues they string together based on their vision. The drama also sees various people life suddenly strung together through their vision but this is actually the boring part of the series. It is not as good as Heroes Season 1 but I do not see any series currently hitting past that mark. Not yet, at least, I hope.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: red; text-align: justify;"><b>Best 2009 TVB drama</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Best 2009 TVB drama is a quite obvious choice. Most dramas were average and not worthy of special mention. <b>Beyond the Realm of Conscience</b> came closest to being the best TVB drama. It has a good storyline and few powerful moments but just not as good as<b> War and Beauty</b>, a 2004 drama that has almost the same theme. Hence, the best 2009 drama is<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: red; text-align: center;"><b>Rosy Business</b><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWV9ubwdGeWqcpFp6br55l22GO_Z9HJPbEzfTDqM3ih3QlQk-IDlxdlErcdMThkIHWN0l3DsFo8B7OIf7N0t0SzYIfXti4FSqWOtIixh_8NPncHCHSQnc8Y_EsAr-jpwg9F8KN/s1600-h/rosybusiness.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhWV9ubwdGeWqcpFp6br55l22GO_Z9HJPbEzfTDqM3ih3QlQk-IDlxdlErcdMThkIHWN0l3DsFo8B7OIf7N0t0SzYIfXti4FSqWOtIixh_8NPncHCHSQnc8Y_EsAr-jpwg9F8KN/s400/rosybusiness.jpg" /></a><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Lame name for a great drama, <b>Rosy Business</b> revolves around the paddy business during the time where hubby can have endless numbers of wives. It is a story of family feud with wives and sons fighting discreetly for right to head the family business and the husband's love. Every episode is filled with memorable moments with both Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang giving exceptionally believable performance. Their on-screen chemistry far exceeds the common love-dovey relationship.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="color: red; text-align: justify;"><b>2</b><b>009 Best Game</b><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">2009 has been a year for good game but which year has it not seen any good games? <b>Resident Evil 5, Infamous, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Uncharted 2, Modern Warfare 2, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Dragon Age </b>are a few of the most notable games in 2009 but the best game in 2009 for me is<br />

</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Those that take gaming seriously would never think that games which are adapted from comics or movies will ever be good enough to be on the list of best games.<b> Arkham Asylum</b> took everyone by surprise, myself included. With a little bit of puzzle solving, a fun stealth mechanic, fluid actions and great boss fights, <b>Arkham Asylum</b> finds itself being my pick for the best game of 2009. Suffice to say, it really made me feel like Batman.<br />

Time flies and it is now the year 2009, the year of challenges and unexpected. Looking back at 2008, it was not the best year either with hopes that 2009 will be a much better year, because it is my year (apply to almost everyone of my age), the cow year.<br /><br />2008 is filled with mixed tragedies and happenings. 2008 alone, I have lost 2 relatives that is, although much older than me, still mean a lot in my life especially during my younger times as they were the one that watched me grew up and treat me to all those fantastic meals. It was a loss as they went away, hopefully to a better place. Here, I wish my best wishes wherever they are to my Dai Ku Ma and Uncle Boey. And here I hope in 2009, days will pass with only healthy bills for everyone I known and loved.<br /><br />Next stop is the happenings of 2008. of course this year, I were able to see my love almost everyday and I count my blessings for that. It will be a different this year as we will be apart. How far apart, we do not know but what I know is I will miss her very much as each day passes with us being apart. It already coming to 3 weeks now that I have not been with her, hugging her and I already felt the missing part growing in me. I miss the driving around town with her, walking around the mall with her, huggin her while watching movie in the cinema, eating with her everynight, laughing at her for being so cutely blur and huggin her whenever she needs it. In 2009, I wish to be able to see her more often than I think I could. I will miss you my love.<br /><br />In 2009 too, I will be apart, definitely, for sure, from all my friends that I have known and loved (not in a gay way). This year, we have broke all the rules in the hostel by making our 'penthouse' the entertainment centre. We played cards games, video games, sporty games (not in the hostel of course and not that much for me of course) parties, midnight ramblings etc etc etc and we enjoyed ourselves to the epitome of enjoyment It was a great years in term of enjoyment of multiplayers game and we have never felt so close together. But as every start has an end. The end of 2008 brings an end of togetherness in the penthouse and the start of 2009 spells the start of individual worklife. It has been 3 weeks and I have already missed the midnight ramblings or those b*****ds shouting big 2, big 2 as I am blasting the Locusts to hell with other dudes. 2008 is definitely a year I am going to miss because 2009 is going to be so different. Here, as much as I do not like the hostel, thank you to you guys for making me stay such a memorable one. I will miss you and may we meet in 2009 for Big 2 and multiplayer again.<br /><br />2009 is here, finally, and I will soon leave my home, where I was well-fed, with good roofs over my head and good beds for me day and night (more than just for sleeping). I will miss my family and I will make a vow to come back every now and then and treat them to goood foood (of course after they treat me). Where I am going, I do not know, yet, not until the 5th of January. 2009 will signifies the start of my life, as a grown-up, searching for my own financial income, searching for a way to feed myself and my loved one, searching for my life. I do not know what I will be come the end of this year, or even where I will be and how far can I go up the ladder of occupation but what I am sure is, I will strive to succeed and bring happiness to everyone around me. Goodbye I bid to a memorable 2008, for the goods and the bads, for the tears to the enjoyment. Welcome 2009 and may you be a year of happiness.<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;">To whoever who stumbles upon this site, may you have a<br />HAPPY AND GREAT 2009.<br />Adious 2008</div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-90933597741607080172010-01-07T18:41:00.002+11:002010-01-07T19:03:48.454+11:00Diary of 2009<div style="text-align: justify;">2009 has now become a present tense. It is a year of discovery, a year of adaptation, a year of growth a year of exploration and a year of change. 2009 marks the year that I step out into the real world fighting for my very own existence. It is unbelievable how 2009 has changed me but furthermore, how much I have grown this year. 2009 is when I became an adult.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">2009 is when I step into the working world, finding a source of income to fill my needs and wants. Not only have I enter the world of adult, I need to start my life away from home, away from city, into an unknown town. While this little place may not be as bad as some place that my peers have to trudge to everyday, it is still a little town that manages to every make new blood in this place feel lonely and sad. I am no exception. My heart started sinking since I left my house on the 11th of January 2009. It never came back up, not even after Chinese New Year 2009. However, noone can help you if you cannot help yourselves. Adapting is my only choice and adapting is what I have done. By getting the internet up and running, my heart started to try to like this place. Well, it is now 2010 and nope, I have yet to succeed in that sense though I think I have made much improvement in adapting as I do not hate this place anymore.....not as much as I used to be at least.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">I am a teacher in 2009. At least I can call myself that starting 2009 and I believe 2009 has made a better teacher out of me. While teaching remains as something I do for living, I do feel a sense of accomplishment when my students write better and better as time passes. My passion, and probably future, lies somewhere but as of 2009, it can be said that disappointment of work and/or teaching has yet to reside in me. In 2009, I grew as a teacher, as an education practitioner, and as a man.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhseHAFXtNq-5Q86aU2md8nD_EcBTmt9GG2A9BwIo4fNbEgDUiVSRdCVk1Klhk_OIQUPYx2oXylokfCWta0CWOQoTwUgEsT05zh65dAwGmTJlDS_xVg00d-GLIgV_6QyHMCzfEl/s1600-h/tricked-on-career-day.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhseHAFXtNq-5Q86aU2md8nD_EcBTmt9GG2A9BwIo4fNbEgDUiVSRdCVk1Klhk_OIQUPYx2oXylokfCWta0CWOQoTwUgEsT05zh65dAwGmTJlDS_xVg00d-GLIgV_6QyHMCzfEl/s400/tricked-on-career-day.gif" /></a><br />
</div><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">2009 has also been a year that I have traveled most, or rather drove furthest. I like driving but I have never ever thought I would be able to drive alone for 5 hours straight, and that is the distance between KL and Endau. Moreover, it have never cross my mind to drive to places like Kuantan, Pekan, Kota Tinggi, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Desaru and weirdest of all Bandar Mas. I did not know some of these places existed at all. Anyway, I like driving, and I love traveling. 2009 has not been a bad year for me at all in term of stumbling into new places. To end a great year of exploring, I was able to go tracking for Marco Polo's lost fleet in the land of Borneo with my love and a few close friends. Traveling is my passion and I will not let it slip in 2010!<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWQgMu1Y_7_I7CQ3cvj5AXxN-1Vg5a-xgGMEWsBuo8o9VNmpVBVrFrGM-h57pTAASiGZN-QB91rZV-RQWVYQfybnT2ynG0xmKz_FXGo2caxclvUm17uYLL6NjhIP1953sA6_gn/s1600-h/IMG_2511.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWQgMu1Y_7_I7CQ3cvj5AXxN-1Vg5a-xgGMEWsBuo8o9VNmpVBVrFrGM-h57pTAASiGZN-QB91rZV-RQWVYQfybnT2ynG0xmKz_FXGo2caxclvUm17uYLL6NjhIP1953sA6_gn/s400/IMG_2511.JPG" /></a><br />
</div><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Last but not least, 2009 was a year of great games. Heck, every year is a year of great games and 2010 will surely be one too. To gaming we toast.<br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: justify;">Adious 2009, Hola 2010.<br />
<br />
PS: Almost forgot that I graduated in the middle of 2009. I am now a graduate. Weeeeeeeeeeeee<br />

First, was when I came into this world, second, was when I took that blardy UPSR exam and the significance for this third time around, is I am starting my career and earning meself some dough to make it past what everyone calls ‘life’. Only 2 weeks into this career/teaching thingy, I already am having my holidays due to the celebration for the arrival of ‘me and my fellow ox mates’ year. Ah, what an enjoyable career life. But I bet that after this one week of heaven, I will soon be back into reality facing the harshness of life/teaching. After this one week, I will have to plan my lesson, manage my class, teach the class and wait for various <s>crappy irrational</s> important orders that will take all my time (I hope not). Life will soon be predictable after this one week but I will always be looking forward towards the weekend with my baby over in JB. What is enjoyment without knowing the meaning of suffering. I guess from now onwards, I will cherish every moment that I can get to spend some quality time with my family, friends and most importantly, my baby. </div><p></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;" align="center">To everyone that I know or don’t know</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;" align="center"><b style=""><span style="color:red;">Happy Chinese New Year<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;" align="center"><b style=""><span style="color:red;">Happy Chinese 'NIU' year<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;" align="center"><b style=""><span style="color:red;">Have a great year of the ox and may your wishes come true<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;" align="center"><b style=""><span style="color:red;">Great health and great wealth to everyone<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: center;" align="center"><b style=""><span style="color:red;">GONG HEI FATT CHOY<o:p></o:p></span></b></p>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-62377336966912272362009-01-09T05:29:00.005+11:002009-11-04T06:17:28.569+11:00It is coming<div style="text-align: justify;">It is time. The reality will strike hard and real. In a couple of days time, I will leave my life that I have been living for the past 23 years, the life of a rascal that only knows how to enjoy himself without worrying much about work tomorrow morning (or afternoon), the life of a rascal that knows not the hardship of earning money, the rascal who go dating with <a href="http://www.laydeediary.blogspot.com"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">THE WOMAN</span></a>(EDITED), play games, watch movie, chat, surf the net, bla bla bla..........That life, that part of life of me will be over in a couple of days and the beginning of the future will commence on the 12th of January. A date to remember? I do not know but all I know is my life for the next 30 years or more will be very much different. I will be up early in the morning working to find income to sustain my life and hopefully more. In the next 30 years, I will have to cut down on all my entertainment including all the fun things I have mentioned above. In the next 30 years, my life will be different, will be hardwork, will be new real life.<br /><br />I have past 23 years of my life and I have no regrets looking back at it. I hope to live the rest of my life with no regrets too and I intend to live my life to the fullest. And to all my friends, family and loved one(bb of course), I hereby hope, wish and pray that all of us will have a happy life, a fullfilling life, a wonderful life. There might not be a happy ending but surely there will be neverending happy moments. To everyone out there, I wish you best of luck and best of life, not only in 2009 but throughout our entire life. Enjoy and Adious. It is really coming.</div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-44811986063360082582009-03-24T03:03:00.011+11:002009-11-04T06:17:04.637+11:00Something interesting<span style="color: rgb(204, 255, 255);font-size:100%;" >A forwarded email from a friend of mine has shown something really interesting you can do with the images from google.com that you have searched. That very day marked the day in which I truly stepped into the world of career, a world outside of my comfort zone, and a world I have not stepped into before, a world in the city of Jungle.<br /><br />I reached this place, in which I might (praying day and night not) spend my next 4 years, at around 4.30pm. As soon as I stepped out of the car, a cool breeze hit my face, something that I might like, something that may be the only thing I like in this new place of mine. 12th of January was the day I stepped into this alien place that I will (still hopping not) have to call home for the next 4 years. What is this place? How is this place? Will I survive? Will I grow to ever like it?<br /><br />Endau is the name of this city of jungle in which I have been thoughtfully sent to. It is 36km away from the nearest TOWN (and i stress on the word town or rather SMALL town) Mersing. To the north, I have another SMALL TOWN named Kuala Rompin some 26km away. If you googled ENDAU, chances are you will find more stuff on Endau-Rompin national park rather than the not-so-famous smaller than town Endau town. This only goes to show the 'jungleness' of Endau.<br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg13JAUkehIZtD9uyxiIJL79r5UQBCbMXwVN0M43J5lPddNeSADk-581-4PXGFF0Uykly-tv17OInBI0v8EucjaPPVa8IFnRDDBM2HcCh6wwKM5dBK5PCJmXBEc4HyEkU4fzHAe/s1600-h/johor_mp1(edited).JPG"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 341px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg13JAUkehIZtD9uyxiIJL79r5UQBCbMXwVN0M43J5lPddNeSADk-581-4PXGFF0Uykly-tv17OInBI0v8EucjaPPVa8IFnRDDBM2HcCh6wwKM5dBK5PCJmXBEc4HyEkU4fzHAe/s400/johor_mp1(edited).JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5313825066000082146" border="0" /></a><br />Endau, in general is a very small town with only one not-so-long stretch of shoplots. There are also a few (may I stress on A FEW) other shops scattered all over Endau. The amounts of shoplots in Tmn Cheras alone might be able to match all of the shops available in Endau. There might be a bit of exaggeration inserted but certainly Endau might just be a fraction bigger than Tmn Cheras. 70 % of the people in Endau works as either fisherman or farmer.<br /><br />As small as this city of jungle is, finding basic necessity is not much of a problem: that is if you do not consider entertainment part of basic necessity. Food is always around in Endau. There are a good (good means passable) amount of food shops in Endau or the neighbouring smaller-than-Endau town, Tanjong Gemok (in no reference to my body size or the irony of the size of the town) is sufficient to keep me alive and well-fed. However, entertainment in the form of shopping mall, cinema, watever, watever, watever, is all a SHORT 2 hours drive from Endau. Whether u go north, south or west, it will be 2 hours aways from a real city that provides a shopping mall equipped with a cinema. So, can all of the basic necessity for a real human, ie, me, can be found in Endau? Nope. Not when I am here, in the city of jungle.<br /><br />Will I like Endau? Just to be clear, getting used to and like are really 2 different things. I feel that I will be able to get used to this city of jungle but I will never, ever, forever, like this tinee, wineee place some people might call a town. I will reach Kulai first whenever I drive south to JB and I felt so happy, and relieved, and overwhelmed, that I reached somewhere where buildings are tall and beautiful, and cars are rushing into a crawl. I have never felt so happy before getting caught in a jam. How have I take traffic jam for granted while in KL. It's frustating but it takes a jam to show you that you are living in a city instead of in the middle of a jungle.<br /><br />In the next four years, I will survive the ordeal. Some people find it peaceful in Endau and I can't agree more. However, the longer I stay in Endau, the more I feel that I belong in a city. I have never felt that before until I live in a city of jungle. I guess it takes cold to know the sun and sadness to know the value of happiness. I hope that I am able to switch to a school in JB but if the bosses (both the one in heaven and the one in the office) wanted me to cramp myself in this city of jungle, I will try myself to make the best lemonade of out this lemon. Life is not a bed of roses, but even roses have thorns.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: center; font-weight: bold;">Life is never ever going to be perfect but it is how we perceive and handle the imperfect, that we will ever be happy.</div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-85229520777743410602009-03-25T02:30:00.004+11:002009-11-04T06:16:57.478+11:00and there is internet in endauAfter like godzillion years, my old friend finally came back to stay with me. On a boring sunday nite, an uncle came bringing my old friend with him and since then, I found Internet...........in the middle of a jungle.<br /><br />I was glad, happy, overjoyed, exuberant, overly happy, overly overjoyed, overly exuberant being able to connect back to the world, and whats more, being able to connect to the world, in the middle of a jungle.<br /><br />Anyway, feelings aside. The speed of the internet is not all that awesome, fast or furious. Back in city, the download goes all the way up to 150kbps but I would be lucky if the same download can goes all the way up to 50kbps, a third of I was used to, a third of what I can do here, in the middle of a jungle. Well, can't complain much because I am right in the middle of the jungle but I really want to play Killzone 2 online and with this speed, PSN keeps kicking me out. Guess they wouldn't want a lagger around annoying the crap out of everyone else that is not in the middle of a jungle.<br /><br />Well, the 512kpbs(yea rite) plan is what I am using currently, and it nets me a tenth of errrr what the plan's name says. And I do wonder if I were to apply for the 1mbps plan, will I be able to get a faster connection? Or, since 50kbps is already the fastest it can go up to, will changing the plan would just be like giving away 20 bucks to Telekom for nothin? Sigh, if only the internet can be as fast as the plan's name implies. That is what you get for living in the jungle, and frogs in your house.ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-45841698964502485042009-04-02T01:27:00.002+11:002009-11-04T06:16:32.703+11:00Stress?If your answer is yes, and damn well right I am stress, and I feel like killing someone right now!!!! I found this song very relaxing, nice tune, good flow and just somehow, miraculously good for the song. singing it makes me feel joyful, not exuberant but just that my heart will smile a bit after singing it. You know this song and if you don't, ask yourself which part of the universe are you from!!! Definitely not earth. This song has been out for a while already and it is still at the top of my playlist/singlist/senglist. Enjoy, listen and damn well sing the song. SIIIIIIIIINNNNNG. She has breathed new life into the song and has brought a different flavour to an already great song. Normally, if one is to sing someone else's song, it will not sound as good as the original version by the original singer but she has broke that rule and brought a new beautiful version of 'I'm yours'. Her voice is strong, smooth and beautiful. I guess music companies do miss out on some talent once in a while. I think they miss me out too!!!!!<br /><br />Anyway, here is her rendition of 'I'm yours'<br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qArWgzw6gIw&hl=en&fs=1"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qArWgzw6gIw&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><br /><br />Her voice do sounds a bit like a Hong Kong's singer, Janice (I am damn well sure those that read my blog won't know her but well, just worth a mention), which do have a strong, powerful, smooth, beautiful voice. Regardless, she has brought a different style to the song and make it wonderful in her own way. Kudos to her. Maybe I should have my rendition, no?ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-13217814260763257712009-04-02T03:11:00.002+11:002009-11-04T06:16:01.727+11:00A story of InspirationBrowsing through my hotmail and youtube, I found a piece of story that I would like to share with all my dear readers. Dick and Rick Hoyts are father and son and to me, they are one of the most inspirational father and son that I have heard or seen. Rick (the son) has a disability (not quite sure of the disability's name and I wouldn't want to say the wrong one) which prevents him from doing physical activities. However, one day, he asked his dad to help him run the IRONMAN triathlon, one that includes 4kms of swimming, 180kms of biking and 42kms of running. This is way beyond my capability (I would faint at 400..........meters)but for his son, his father would sacrifice whatever needed to fulfills his son's dream. A beautiful message at the end too. Here is the video:<br /><br /><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dDnrLv6z-mM&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dDnrLv6z-mM&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object><br /><br />'You can do anything you want to do, as long as you make up your mind, you can do it', says Dick Hoyts. How far will I go to achieve my dream? How deep will I dig to reach out for what I want. I do not know? But I will keep this quote and this father and son's achievement in mind when I do realise it is time to go out and grab my chance. Now, I just gotta know what my dream is. HAHA. darnahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-30959679828252604872009-04-22T23:06:00.003+10:002009-11-04T06:16:01.727+11:00Life of a teacherLife of a teacher can be anything from tired to fun, different to repetitive tasks, happy to angry, awesome to lame, responsible to I don't care anymore. It all depends on the type of students you have, the type of colleagues that work with you and ask you to work, the type of boss you have and the type of patience you hold. Whatever it is, there is one thing that certainly hold true to all teachers. Something that all teachers will agree. Those teachers that do not think the same is either very dedicated or super ultra massively dedicated. What is it? <br /><br />I hate marking<br /><br />There I said it and I believe that every teachers in this whole wide world hate marking. Maybe some don't but I do. I really really do. But I know I have to do it. Sigh<br /><br />I have 5 class. I have around 30 students in each class. I have an approximately 150 students under my wings. And of course, I have 150 books to mark. Scary. Scaaaaaaaaary. <br /><br />Some of you may think that marking 150 different works may be tiring. Well, marking 150 works that are almost similar is worse. 150 of grammatically horrible work. 150 of incomprehensible essay to mark......ok I am exaggerating. Some students' writings are comprehensible but far from good. But most students will have at least an incomprehensible sentence. Half of them will have more. End of the day, most of them that will kill my brain cell in my attempt to correct them.<br /><br />What is the worse of all is since I teach 2 English Language challenged classes, they have the best essay of all. A class of 30 students will only have 3 or 4 genuine works. This means that there will be around 5-10 essays that contain similar essays with very minor changes. The best of all is all these essays have similarly grammatically horrible and incomprehensible sentence/essay/facts. <br /><br />Marking book is hard, brain-torturing, and mentally challenging. However, to learn is to make mistake and learn not to repeat it. Hence, as a teacher, we must do our best to correct students' mistake and we must also allow them to make those mistake. As long as students are willing to try, we must be patient with their mistake, correcting one by one, slowly but surely. <br /><br />At the meantime, let me rant myself away. I hate marking. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-36110584479580145292009-04-03T03:54:00.004+11:002009-11-04T06:16:01.727+11:00of fools and idiots<div style="text-align: justify;">It was 8.45. The night was dark. Street lights and a dim moonlight pour onto the lonely street. I was just relaxing, watching a movie, laughing my heart out at Tony Leung, Miriam Yeung and Ronald Cheng. Little do I know that I will not be able to laugh anymore, not tonight, not till it subsides.<br /><br />It was a normal sound, a normal sound a bike rushing past. It was normal, ordinary, until BOOM. A deft sound ran across the road into the night and into my ears. Continuing after the sound was a bike, speeding off, disappearing, fast and cruelly. I felt shocked, stood up and make my way towards the door, towards the gate. Each step I took was long, fearing an unwanted incident, fearing the worst because it was definitely far from the sweetest sound. It was fury, it was angry, it was heartache, it was bad. The night was dark. The little light that made it through onto the street showed nothing. The road was fine.<br /><br />My eyes swayed to something else, something dear to me, something that has been keeping me sane in this land of nothingness. A powderish elements was found sitting on the boot of my car. It was everywhere on my car, and on the road. I looked around to search for a sign of raindrop, or maybe hails. There were none. The powder did not seem to go far away from my car. I took a few more step closer, nearer to my car fearing the worst. It was unthinkable. More familiar elements rest gently inside the car. The glass shone back at me. The moonlight reflects no more on my windscreen, for it was not there anymore, shattered beyond recognition. There were only small pieces of glasses, everywhere, in, on and around my automobile. Messages going through my head simultaneously. All sorts of emotion flying through. Anger, dissapointment, sadness, fear, deja vu. Nothing was positive at that moment. Nothing seemed to be the answer. There were only silent and gasping of the unthinkable.<br /><br />Calls were made. Police station seemed to be the most appropriate destination. Report was made. Answer was predictable. No witness, no evidence, no one willing to do some CSI thingy on the piece of huge rocks that lies motionless at the back of my car. Expected disappointment accompanied us, myself the most, out of the station back to crime scene. Calls were made again. No insurance for the windscreen, no luck for the day. More calls were made. Price ranges from 300 to well over 700 hundreds depending on the quality of the future windscreen. Phone stayed silent. I stayed silent. We stayed silent. Cleaning up seemed to be the only thing left to do.<br /><br />Shattered pieces of part of my sanity was picked up and put into a plastic bag. Gloves kept us safe. Meticulous was my only hope of not further damaging my sanity, my car, myself. People came and help. Teachers, teacher's husband, doctors, neighbours. Apart from the idiots and fools, kind hearted people do live among us. Minority does not make a society but minority has struck tonight, shattering part of my sanity. Cleaning up, picking up the pieces was not easy, but it had to be done.<br /><br />Life goes on. Maybe it is a blessing in disguise, somehow. Maybe I should changed my windscreen to one with better quality that will restrain shattering. Safer. Safety was all that I could think of now. I still felt like punching whoever that did this, but violence is not what is need. Education and love are. Whoever that did this lacks the education and love. Insanity, fools, or idiots is a result of a loveless, educationless, uncaring life.<br /><br />Breaking up the possibility, analysing the situation, I can, might or just maybe come up with a few reasons for whatever that has happened tonight.<br /><br />1) paperwork - maybe to some of you that this seems to be a far off answer. However, if we think deeply, the ridiculous amount of paperwork might just be the reason why our education is failing. Think about it, would one teacher dedicate her life to teach the students if she is buried by a ridiculous amount of redundant, boring paperwork. Would you teach the students properly when there are a stack of papers waiting for you at your office and you know damn well you would not be able to finish doing it before the next holiday arrives. Would you even care to give small peptalk, educate the students, humanize the students and make the a part of a caring society if all you see in front of you are redundant, ridiculous paperworks that can and could be easier but not. The reason that Malaysian education is failing is not because we do not have enough teacher, or our system is bad. It is that we never strive to improve the system so that less paperworks for teacher and more teaching of humanity to students. This is not a definite answer but definitely a possibility.<br /><br />2)Difficulty in making a living - Some of us are obsessed in finding a living, making money to bring their family through to another day by putting food on the table. Some of us are obsessed in just making money. Whatever it is, some parents do not spend enough time with their child and not giving them enough attention and/or love. This, as you know, will certainly lead to social problems. Kids, will, search for attention, and sometimes, in a way that will punish innocent civilians, someone like me<br /><br />3)Whatever you say is wrong and whatever I say is correct - Freedom of speech is not encouraged in Malaysia. Students are taught to obey the teacher and whatever the teacher said is correct and whatever the students say is correct. My point of view, students should be encouraged to give their opinion. That being said, students should also be taught how to give constructive opinion rather that just destructive, condemning one. That, in my opinion, is what is lacking in Malaysian's education system. Therefore, students kept their feeling within them, spilling their emotion in a more quiet but destructive way, so that they can release their pent-up emotion without anyone criticising them. And somehow, I am their victim of their pent-up stress.<br /><br />Whatever it is, what has happened has happened. For all I know, it may just be a blessing in disguise. I may never know. Live has to be lived whether you are happy, angry, or sad. I choose to be happy. I am just grateful that I still can make a living to earn back what I have lost today. Hope whatever I wrote yesterday will help me walk my life of tomorrow. And may God bless the lost souls and bring them back to the road of love. And may my readers be free of such incidents. Be well and be happy. Darn, my mind is playing the song 'Don't worry, be happy.'</div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-81545561555242793762009-05-06T19:47:00.003+10:002009-11-04T06:15:33.125+11:00and it keeps repeatingOn the Ahseng Top Ten Song of the week, one song has sit atop the chart for the second week running. I know Ronaldo's first goal was from 41 yards out but a good, swift counterattack/beautiful build-up goal is still an awesome goal. This proves how well the Roos compliment and played with each other. For the Ronaldo's first goal, some might blame Almunia for being a doink but Ronaldo's ball looks faster than a train even in slow-mo. Kudos to him. That goal is a freakin strong reminder of the statement 'Sell Ronaldo and die'!!<br /><br />Anyway, Man Utd manages to march towards the final with style. There is a last hurdle before Man Utd can claim to break the record of successfully defending the Champion League (meaning winning it twice in a row). This is surely a record that no other team (or cocky supporters *cough*shim*cough) look down upon. Braggin right aside, this final hurdle will be the hardest, toughest, and brutal test ever but I am sure we (MAN UTD and their die-hard fans) will be at out best in ROME battling for victory and glor. I will end this post with<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center; color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;">GLORY GLORY MAN UTD</div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-68598861582967869752009-06-10T23:15:00.003+10:002009-11-04T06:14:55.894+11:00Overly Wise WordsA friend of mine has refer to me as the person who the one who has lots of overly wise. Maybe I do and today I have one more. Another friend of mine send me an email of a principle named 90/10 principle. It is something I have read and agreed and since now I have a little blog (in which I may or may not update regularly) I would like to share this little wise (or overly wise) words and or principle written by Stephen Covey, a management Guru, with all my fellow readers (hopefully dedicated). Here we go, the 90/10 principle<br /><br /><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:130%;">10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean? <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:130%;">We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different. You determine the other 90%. <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:130%;">How? </span><span class="GramE" style="font-size:130%;">By your reaction.</span><span style="font-size:130%;"> You cannot control a red </span><span class="GramE" style="font-size:130%;">light.,</span><span style="font-size:130%;"> but you can control your reaction. You are eating breakfast with your family. Your <o:p></o:p></span><span class="GramE" style="font-size:130%;">daughter</span><span style="font-size:130%;"> knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. The other 90% was determined by your reaction. <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:130%;">Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle. If someone says something negative about you, don't be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc. <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:130%;">How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic? Do you lose your temper? </span><span class="GramE" style="font-size:130%;">Pound on the steering wheel?</span><span style="font-size:130%;"> A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off) <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:130%;">Do you curse? Does your blood pressure skyrocket? Do you try and bump them? WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work? Why let the cars ruin your drive? Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it. <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:130%;">You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying energy and time into finding another job. The plane is late; it is going to mangle your schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration on the flight attendant? She has no control over what is going on. Use your time to study, get to know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It will just make things worse. Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing if you try it. <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:130%;">The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know and apply this principle. <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><p style="text-align: justify; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;" class="MsoNormal"><span class="GramE" style="font-size:130%;">The result?</span><span style="font-size:130%;"> Millions of people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials, problems and heartache. We all must understand and apply the 90/10 principle. <o:p></o:p></span></p><div style="text-align: justify; font-family: lucida grande; font-style: italic;"> </div><div style="text-align: center; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;"> <span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0);font-size:130%;" >It CAN change your life!!! </span><span style="font-size:130%;"><br /></span></div><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;font-family:lucida grande;font-size:130%;" >Stephen Covey</span><br /><br /><br />In simple words, a negative reaction towards a negative events will create a series of unfortunate (negative) events. I, myself, have fallen victim to such situation and such negativity and nothing good has came out of it besides getting to release the pent up anger.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Positive reactions will create a series of fortunate events! True but I guess the word 'positive' can be seen in a lot of angle. Do we smile all the time even to those that purposely wanted to hurt us and/or fool us. A clever reaction may indeed be needed. I guess negative reaction refers only to action that have not gone through the machine human likes to call brain that may be trigger by a sense of dissatisfaction (anger in blunt). I have done this before and it has only further hurt people that I like, means something to me and/or love (meaning people I hate to hurt).<br /><br />Therefore, if, in anyway we are going through that period where signals skip our thinking machine, think of 90/10. How? I dunno. The signals already skipped the brain. but maybe in our heart that we can think much better. For the future of what we love to call 'LOVE'. Peace to the world, love to the humans<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="color: rgb(255, 0, 0); font-weight: bold;">OVERLY WISE?</span></div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-6332050616018791002009-07-03T14:57:00.008+10:002009-11-04T06:14:49.422+11:00I Am Not A FanI am not a fan. In fact, I have no previous knowledge of the series except for a bald guy and a huge ship traveling across the space to look for some alien lifeforms, although some other aliens are already on board the ship. Heck, I do not even know that the bald guy's character is not going to be in the movie. There is a lot of things that I did not know about Star Trek and I walked into the cinema without much anticipation, expectation. I just wanted to watch a movie and was I in for a surprise!!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihYsGZ2MXynwyEOauRoS-3XD2qMH5BSeJcVl4Sp9RcJJRYv9FNw-cda3E_tEoq8sMcUA78EBDkEllfnMWd4GW9Vxa9dWHFjrbmAmJjgQN1S99wWzFfdKvmnGVRcDeZJQflhyg8/s1600-h/the-new-star-trek-movie.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 217px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihYsGZ2MXynwyEOauRoS-3XD2qMH5BSeJcVl4Sp9RcJJRYv9FNw-cda3E_tEoq8sMcUA78EBDkEllfnMWd4GW9Vxa9dWHFjrbmAmJjgQN1S99wWzFfdKvmnGVRcDeZJQflhyg8/s320/the-new-star-trek-movie.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354107347261151138" border="0" /></a><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />Star Trek starts off with a bang and it is filled with emotions which leads into a great story that took place umpteenth years later after the opening. The pace of the story is at a good speed. It is neither confusing nor boring and slow. Having no knowledge of the Star Trek universe and who is Spock and how is Spock(s) connected to the whole story really keeps me curious and seated to keep watching as Star Trek throws a few pleasant surprise at you once in a while. my definition of a good movie is it always keeps you interest and Star Trek definitely kept me from going to the bathroom.<br /><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Storyline aparts, there is a good amount of humour to keep me laughing throughout the movie thanks to a great crew and actors. The characters in Star Trek are memorable with opposing attitudes. Spock is cool with his serious, no-nonsense demeanour and his little feud with his opposite, Captain Kirk keeps up the tension level. Kirk's smirky and sarcastic remarks plus with Scott Montgomery's funny British accents make it all the funnier and entertaining. Being able to laugh is why we watch a movie, ain't it?<br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpuYTnkLgxkOi2jQCCrH8zbo1jBeMFhGBBLkTS25Hfc3Iv5mUqnf67U8kTBvjtFtMPBiURZqUQmjYNfB-xK6IraMS_RM8E7BHCv0M1Ba1XJcKbKdXyh80NaTxtQGYX16zal11W/s1600-h/StarTrek+Movie+Poster+2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 215px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpuYTnkLgxkOi2jQCCrH8zbo1jBeMFhGBBLkTS25Hfc3Iv5mUqnf67U8kTBvjtFtMPBiURZqUQmjYNfB-xK6IraMS_RM8E7BHCv0M1Ba1XJcKbKdXyh80NaTxtQGYX16zal11W/s320/StarTrek+Movie+Poster+2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354107598143620642" border="0" /></a><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">All the funny guys</span></span><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-YSb4TyjBLAvBiDVBvme6MjhykDWhVHFJue3G81BYn70Khoc_Mn6TsfLTm6ZkooeU_gR6F3CPY-08IjpZgs1qpCMcNE-3rExeF7-UaZhkM2uQIaUgsR86gH93TCAYVF3t0c8f/s1600-h/star-trek-review1.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 180px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-YSb4TyjBLAvBiDVBvme6MjhykDWhVHFJue3G81BYn70Khoc_Mn6TsfLTm6ZkooeU_gR6F3CPY-08IjpZgs1qpCMcNE-3rExeF7-UaZhkM2uQIaUgsR86gH93TCAYVF3t0c8f/s320/star-trek-review1.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5354108074687469298" border="0" /></a></div></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size:85%;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Yin and Yang</span></span><br /><br /></div>Action is okay with nothing spectacular to shout about. Ship to ship combat, hand to hand combat, some gun shooting scenes and some big explosion is nice to see but not over the top. It is nice to see but definitely not 'wow' .<br /><br />There is nothing much to say about this movie except that it is awesome. The last thing I walked out of the cinema with this sense of satisfaction was The Darknight, a much philosophical movie. Star Trek is not philosophical. It is just a movie that has a very good storyline that will keep your butt glued to seat, at least for the first watch. A show that is definitely not to be missed if you are even remotely interested in a action and kinda funny movie with an good, interesting storyline.<br /><br />ps: loving this movie still does not make me a fan or a trekkie geek</div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-18151452029535647382009-07-04T20:29:00.003+10:002009-11-04T06:14:41.123+11:00The second Owen<div style="text-align: justify;">This frightening and shocking transfer story is not going to pass by without me shouting some of my opinion opinion where possible. Except sir Alex, noone saw this coming. I was shocked when I turned on Soccernet.com only to this shocking transfer news on the headline. My thoughts?<br /><br />I used to like Owen cause I support England and he used to zip through defense like slicing through hot butter. However, Owen seemed like a spent force during his stint at Newcastle. He did not look like a knife anymore cutting through defenses and his record at Newcastle surely does not look good on any CV not to mention the time he spend on the bench.<br /><br />So the question is can that change? I have to say that even with Valencia's deal, his record is not that great either with 3 freaking goals for 80 over games but Owen has a much better record while serving for Real and Liverpool and this means as long as his fitness level improves (drastically and consistently), he 'can' be a force to be reckon with. It is a huge task and if Sir Alex cannot bring him back from the dead, no one else could. The messed up Newcastle surely couldn't and didn't<br /><br />I still believe in Sir Alex and I will always support Man Utd. Plus, we did not have to use any of the transfer kit boosted by the sale of some traitor to secure someone with a good record. Further, Owen's contract seemed to be incentive-based (did not hear the confirmation though). Therefore, we did not lose much even if Owen does not perform or like he always does, warmed up the supporters bench due to various injuries because not much money has been put onto him anyway.<br /><br />Well, the only thing I can hope for is the transfer does not stop here. Losing 2 star players while some other teams is collecting star players surely does not help Man Utd to continue their journey in conquering the world. Pray that some much more exciting transfer will hit this month, someone like Sergio Aguero would fit the bill perfectly, no?</div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-14656993607815345082009-09-07T22:54:00.003+10:002009-10-31T22:39:35.289+11:00It's hard to be a footballer<div style="text-align: justify;">A good footballer does not have to only be good on the pitch but he also has to have a good ability to speak. Our beloved Park Ji Sung came to England not only to ply his trade for the devils but also to do interviews. Thus, he has to learn English and he is a living prove that anyone from anywhere can learn to understand and speak English. Check out how this awesome Korean footballer fares in the linguistic department<br /></div><br /><br /><object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/BEhomQFh-Ok&hl=en&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/BEhomQFh-Ok&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object><br /><br />What?ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-52488477551881423812009-09-06T01:59:00.003+10:002009-10-31T22:39:35.289+11:00of boxes and wires<div style="text-align: justify;">This post was stolen from this blog <a href="http://thegamersgirl.blogspot.com/">here</a> but since not many people might visit about games, gamers and relationship, this video is too good not to be seen by more people. This video is about the difference between a man and a woman's brains and what's in them (yes, men has more stuff in their brain apart from sex). It is a funny video but whether it is true or not, it is up to your discretion. Waddaya think?<br /></div><br /><object height="344" width="425"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WI-aEzn0dlw&hl=en&fs=1&"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WI-aEzn0dlw&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" height="344" width="425"></embed></object>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-27892142092305926182009-09-22T01:48:00.003+10:002009-10-31T22:39:11.170+11:00We scored, we conceded, and then Owen came along<div style="text-align: justify;">The manchester derby match, as reported by many, is a classic match that will be remembered for a long time. It was a 7 goals thriller with Manchester City intending to poop Man Utd victory party on three occasion though Man Utd did intend to suicide. Equalising during injury time, all seemed bleak for Man Utd. The players were shocked (at Rio's crappy loop pass), the supporters were down, the haters are saying 'in your face' and along came a shadow of the babyface assassin. With his small stature, he wandered into the danger zone unnoticed signalling to a mastercraft for a pass. A superb pass, a small shadow, a good touch and a wonder shot. I leave myself and you this video to forever etch the moment intense blissfulness and excitement into our heart believing that no matter how useless it may seem, we just have to believe and try till the last drop of blood and sweat, and the reward will be so much sweeter.<br /><br /><br /></div><br /><embed src="http://rd3.videos.sapo.pt/play?file=http://rd3.videos.sapo.pt/4zzzstZC570K5VMiqTgg/mov/1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="410" height="357"></embed>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31698192.post-60467976425965557792009-09-10T00:24:00.004+10:002009-10-31T22:38:43.369+11:00Is there?A month from now, current batch of Form 3 students will take their PMR examination. In this one month, I have the glory to help failing students to pass their English test. These kids are on the verge. A little slip up and they will surely fail their English test and soon enough, their future. Therefore, it is a huge responsibility. One that I will, with all my effort and knowledge, see to the end.<br /><div style="text-align: justify;"><br />But it was not all that easy. One more month left and these 'monkeys' have no fears. They have no desire, no motivation, no believe at all that English is important for their immediate and also far future. They do not want to learn. They are too comfortable in their failing comfort zone. I really like to believe that their future is their to choose but can I do anything at all? Is there anything at all that will give them a shred of motivation, a feather of hope to pass? Is there?<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPh3tJXaRdhyuIgcvCuV6PwZz2VG2u0T3C_cKe0bUD9ALuWIM6fYhjVOKuFF8XFRLIqu6t67vHFdZF1qdoYaRv0KEsUmI0XAOMMTNEEc__i0grtDG7PWRddGNF0xxygJ0Pt80Z/s1600-h/Lazy_tshirt.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 318px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPh3tJXaRdhyuIgcvCuV6PwZz2VG2u0T3C_cKe0bUD9ALuWIM6fYhjVOKuFF8XFRLIqu6t67vHFdZF1qdoYaRv0KEsUmI0XAOMMTNEEc__i0grtDG7PWRddGNF0xxygJ0Pt80Z/s320/Lazy_tshirt.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5379479277707544290" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /></div>ahsenghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00308403480976518561noreply@blogger.com5
